Applications for the May 2020 intake are now open and will close on 15 February 2019.

5 Wentworth Chambers currently offers 2 readership positions each year, one to coincide with the May Bar Practice Course and the second with the September Course. Readers are offered accommodation on the Floor for the 12-month reading period with the possibility of further accommodation in our Annex once the reading year has been completed.

Applications for readership positions will close on 15 February (for the May intake) and 15 July (for the September intake) of the year prior to the intake year. Please note that 5 Wentworth reserves the right to consider applications for readership at other times or to cancel an intake (prior to the commencement of the interview process).

In early March and early August respectively, all applicants will be contacted to notify them whether they have been selected for an interview. Interviews will take place in March and August respectively.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application within two weeks of the interview process being completed for all candidates. It is anticipated this will be no later than early April and early September respectively (ie 1 year prior to the start of the Bar Practice Course).

It is the usual course that successful applicants will have a member of 5 Wentworth as one of their tutors.
