David has a Bachelor of Laws from UNSW (Hons Class I, University Medal) and a Master of Laws from NYU (Competition Innovation and Information Law Program, Frank T. Diersen prize for best performance in the program).
Before coming to the Bar, David was the Associate to Justice Bennett of the Federal Court and a Solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons, where he worked in the intellectual property litigation team.
David’s practice is focused primarily on intellectual property and commercial disputes. He appears both led and unled in the Federal and Supreme Courts, as well as at IP Australia and in various tribunals.
David was recognised by Doyle’s Guide 2018 as ‘Leading’ junior counsel in NSW for both Intellectual Property and Technology, Media & Telecommunications. He was also listed as ‘Recommended’ junior counsel in NSW for Intellectual Property in both 2016 and 2017.
